Welcome to our school website!
Kinnaird Primary School is a thriving learning community and has been described as ‘the beating heart of the community’. Our school benefits from having a highly committed staff team, high levels of parent support and wonderful children! The school has rapidly grown in size since it first opened its doors in 2007. This growth continues with the ongoing construction of a new Early Years Campus which will open in 2019. Our specialist facility, The Thistle Wing, which caters for children with severe and complex needs, also continues to grow with the Thistle Wing Annexe located within the former Carrongrange School building. From Nursery to P7 and Thistle Wing/Annexe classes, all staff seek to work in partnership with parents to ensure the best possible education for each child in our care challenging and supporting them to achieve their potential. If you would like further information about any aspect of our school please contact us and we will be delighted to help you.

Parking and Vehicle Access during construction work.
Please be advised that construction work to build the new Early Years Campus at Kinnaird Primary School is now underway. The contractor’s compound has been fenced off and is separate from the main school, so normal operation of the school will not be affected. There will, however, be very limited parking available at the school and vehicle access will be restricted.
The small car parking area which remains is strictly for staff only, with the exception of the two parking bays which are reserved for blue badge holders.
There will be no parking available at any time for parents or visitors.
Vehicular access to the school between 8.30-3.45 will be for staff, Thistle Wing school transport and blue badge holders only.
There will only be one vehicle entrance/exit to school (a one way system round the turning circle) and no drop-off area.
We appreciate the challenges, implications and significant inconvenience these new arrangements will bring to parents and staff. However the construction of the new Early Years campus is essential to meet the needs of our very large and growing school. We want to provide the best possible learning environment for all children in the Kinnaird community both now and in the future and to achieve this long term goal we have to face these challenges.
